Questions people ask before booking

How do I find a trusted companion near me?

Search DayFriend by postcode to see companions available across North West England, including Manchester, Stockport, Warrington, Liverpool and Preston. Every profile shows the identity and DBS checks completed through DayFriend, the services offered, hourly rates and client reviews, so you can choose who suits you before booking.

How much does companion support cost per hour in the UK?

Companions on DayFriend set their own rates, which typically run from £15 to £200 per hour depending on the service and experience. The rate shown on a profile is what the companion receives; DayFriend adds a clearly displayed booking fee on top at checkout. Live-in support is priced weekly.

Are DayFriend companions checked?

Companions complete identity verification through Stripe Identity before their profile goes live. Companions offering senior, carer relief, travel, personal support and live-in services also hold an Enhanced DBS check reviewed by DayFriend. Each profile states exactly which checks that companion has completed.

Which areas does DayFriend cover?

DayFriend covers North West England, including Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire. Availability varies by town and by companion, so searching your postcode shows who can currently reach you.

Is DayFriend a care agency?

No. DayFriend is a booking platform. Companions are self-employed and contract directly with clients; DayFriend does not employ them or provide regulated clinical care. Clients review each profile and decide who is suitable for their needs.
